Day Nine - staying the distance

It's been a few days on the diet now and it's around about now that my brain usually says 'well done Trig, nice try, but bloody hell this is boring - let's eat'.


The temptation is worse at night when the household is asleep and there's sod all to do except these bleeding cartoons. Slobbing in front of the telly, invariably a tv show comes on with someone in a bar nonchalantly placing their hand around a glass of whisky or pint of beer, and you think 'hmmm, that looks nice'.


That lock I bought for the drinks cabinet, well, I know where the key is. One little drink won't hurt will it? 


How do we stop the fall then?



I think the best way to avoid falling off the diet wagon is to ask yourself at the moment you're about to relent this question ... 'seriously, would you shag someone who looked like you?'. 


Pretty good deterrent in my case.
